Myanmar Traditional Chin Lone (Cane Ball) Festival Tour
Chin Lon (Cane Ball) performance competition will be held in Myanmar Top Tourist Destination Bagan from 16 to 20 February 2011. There will be 5 performance categories. The aim is to promote traditional Myanmar sports & attract tourists.
Myanmar Traditional Chin Lone (Cane Ball) Festival, Mandalay

Traditional wicker ball players from all over the country participate in the month long contest at Mahamuni Pagoda compound Mandalay. You can enjoy several ways of playing Chin Lone and racing by either team or individual together with local / folk music played while entertaining the audience.

Itinerary Morning pick-up from Hotel at Mandalay. Drive to Amarapura & Walk over 150-year-old U Bein teak Bridge and enjoy panoramic view. Visit Mahagandayon, a famous Buddhist monastery, where more than a thousand monks live and study. Back to Mandalay and visit craftsmen’s workshop of gold leaf beaten into wafer thin pieces. Afternoon visit Mahamuni Buddha image covered with thick layers of gold leaves. Then enjoy Myanmar Traditional Chin Lone (Cane Ball) Festival. Evening transfer back to hotel.
